Thinking about applying to b-schools 2-3 years down the road. I'll be a career switcher and from what I understand in order to take the full advantage of an MBA I need to enroll in a FT MBA program. I haven't really narrowed down what I want to do post-MBA (that'd be the first thing I need to pinpoint before applying) but it'd either be Management Consulting or Business developement/ strategy for a F500 company.
What I do know is that I'd like to be either in the Greater Boston or the Greater NYC area post-MBA. I know for MC it's pretty much Top 15-20 or a bust as consulting companies pretty much don't hire outside of
those schools. But outside of MC if I'm looking at F500 Corporate jobs does the MBA become more regional? So for instance: if I don't get into one of the top 10-15 programs and looking for a F500 job in the NYC or Boston area, would be it worth going to Indiana Kelly or Emory or I'm much better off going to BU/BC/ URochester?
