Target School Suggestions

Hi ladies and gents,

I'm currently going through applications and came into an obstacle regarding with my profile, target schools, and goals. I was hoping I could receive some guidance from those who are already in the field or have insight in this area. I would love to put myself into the career of investment banking in NYC. My profile is below:

BACKGROUND

Work Experience:
- 3 years of military logistics work experience supporting a heavy brigade (tanks, engineer equipment, artillery, etc).
- Each year a promotion to a higher level of responsibility. Managed anywhere from a team of 4 to a platoon of 135.
- 2 out of the 3 positions I was ranked in the top 15% among peers.

Extra curriculars:
-in my college years I was involved with the infantry national guard, ROTC, and a fraternity to which I supported various philanthropies and charities to include the wounded warriors project and dance marathon.
-Currently have been playing the guitar for 12 years and was previously in a band.

Undergrad:
-public state school top 50 to top 100 in the north east.
-Studied business economics with a 3.4 gpa

Other coursework:
-planning to take a finance course online to boost my low gpa and low GMAT
- possibly taking a financial modeling course

Race: asian
Age: younger realm of mid 20's
Sex: male

STATS

GMAT:
-650 48q (73%) 31v (60%?)
-690 46q (64%) 39v (89%)

Undergrad gpa:
-3.4 (started slow and progressed forward)

MBA INFO

Goal: middle market or bulge bracket investment banking

Target schools : Ross, darden, fuqua, johnson, mccombs, Kenan-Flagler, tepper ( do the last three place decently in IB in NYC?)

How realistically will those programs be within my shot group? If not, should I reach down to a lower tier of programs? I believe my lower quant score and gpa may deter programs from glancing at my candidacy with my goals of banking. I can retake the gmat but it won't be until late December right when I submit my apps.

Also when it comes down to internships and recruiting, how heavily weighted will banks factor in my GMAT if I were to be in a top 15-25 program? Location of the school doesn't really matter to me as long as the schools place decently into NYC for banking which I believe most do. Suggestions? I really do appreciate thorough and candid criticism. Thanks!
