I want to major in finance and am considering top schools. I am going to be a Junior next year.
GPA - unweighted 3.822
- weighted - 4.815
As a sophomore I received straight As, while taking all honors classes and AP US History and AP Comp Sci.
Freshmen year was rough, with a couple of Bs. Again all honors classes and AP Human Geography (AP Score = 4)
Extra Curricular so far:
Volleyball - grades 9,10 (plan on playing all four years)
Basketball - grade 9 (play in a recreational league currently)
DECA - grade 9,10 (qualified for state grade 10)
BPA - grade 10 (qualified for state grade 10)
Investment Team - grade 10 (Competition through major Chicagoland hedge funds, 1st place financial literacy)
Special Olympics Coach - grade 10 (coached volleyball (gold medal team) for the Fall Olympic Games)
- winter season coached basketball
Math Team - grade 9,10 (state team member both years)
Student Council - grade 9,10 (elected as Director of Public Relations for entire school next year)
Elected to Junior Board for next year (different than student council)
Plans for next year:
Maintain high GPA, taking: AP PHYSICS C, AP CALC BC, AP LANG + COMP, AP PSYCH, AP WORLD
score 33+ on ACT
Personal: Indian Male (1st generation here in the United States)
Public School with 3700+ kids (school doesn't rank)
Located in Illinois
Any tips would be helpful to survive the last two years of high school. And especially comments to help me work towards getting into top undergrad business schools like Wharton, Ivies, northwestern, Michigan Ross, etc
