UIUC double major Econ/Stats and I-banking?

How are my chances in landing a career in i-banking with a double major in econ/stats and minor in business from UIUC. Simply from a field of study aspect, how does an econ/stat double compare to a finance degree in terms of an applicant pool? Does a double in stats really help?
