Wharton EMBA Chances

Hello Monkeys,

I am in the real estate industry and very much interested in completing my executive MBA at Wharton. I am so interested in Wharton specifically that if I do not get in, I am willing to wait a couple of years and apply again if that would help my chances. I believe the unmatched real estate network at the school will allow me to further my career more so than any other MBA program. With that said, I know Wharton is the most selective EMBA program and I was hoping you all can help me assess my chances of getting in.

What worries me the most is my low undergrad GPA from a state school. To be honest, at that point, I was working for my father who owns buildings in NYC and was not focused on school at all. I always wanted to have my own RE company was just going to go work with him afterwards. It was after I did an internship I realized I wanted to go through the corporate world and get the experience I need to start a company at a even higher level in the future. Should I work all of this into my story somehow? Realizing I would need a high GPA in the future to get into PE and B School, I did a part time masters program while working brutal IB hours at a local Ivy League School and graduated with a 3.75 GPA to prove I am an A student.

I know EMBA programs value leadership or management experience, so I will also be sure to craft my resume/essays to say that I drive deals in my role by coordinating various parties: operating partners, banks, brokers, engineers, lawyers, etc.

Credentials:
- Father buys NYC Real Estate - Worked with him growing up and in College
- State School, Finance Major, 3.4 GPA (low because was I focused on family business)
- Ivy League Grad School, Part-Time Masters, 3.75 GPA (while working IB Hours)
- Investment Banking Analyst at Top Five Bank in Real Estate Group for 2.5 Years
- Real Estate Private Equity Associate at $4bn AUM NYC REPE Fund for 3 years
- Glowing Reviews from MD/VP
- 710 gmat score
- Involved in Real Estate Organizations and Education Non-Profits
- Goal: Move up to VP/MD at current Company and then start my own Acquisitions/Development Company

Thank you in advance for all your help and advice.
